For the year 2015 XXL Children Foundation focused on the immediate rescue operations after the earthquake in Nepal by donating 1,200 sleeping bags, 1,000 sleeping mats and 170 tents for a total value of NOK 750,000. The equipment was delivered to the organization Medical Aid Mountaineering (MAM) which immediately distributed the equipment to damaged mountain villages. The first, Samdo at 3,700 meters, snowy and cold.
In a second round, one month later, XXL delivered another 220 sleeping bags for children and 60 tents.
XXL also equipped the Norwegian search and rescue teams that worked in Nepal.
